Rishi Sunak was born on May 12, 1980 in Southampton to Yashvir, a general practitioner, and Usha Sunak, a pharmacist who ran a local pharmacy. His parents were African Hindus of Indian descent, his father was born and raised in the Colony and Protectorate of Kenya, his mother was born in Tanganyika. Sunak has a younger brother, Sanjay, who is a psychologist, and a sister, Raakhi, who is the director of strategy and planning at the United Nations Global Fund for Education. Education can’t wait. Rishi Sunak completed his primary education in Hampshire and attended Winchester College to further his education. He graduated from Lincoln College, Oxford in 2001, where he studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE).
